Cancer More than Survivors 5k Winners, Terry & Kathie
Challenge Cancer with appropriate and highly effective Rx Exercise.
Appropriate Rx Exercise is a powerful help to many cancer patients who want to improve their quality of life by staying physically active through, and well beyond, their very challenging cancer therapies.
Rx Exercise has helped many cancer survivors to make strong comebacks from their cancer challenges, to become “More than Survivors”.
Our Challenge Cancer 5k is a "Celebration of Active Cancer Survivors" where we will honor and recognize many Cancer-Challenged Honored Athletes.
And this "Celebration" is a special occasion where we can all continue learning living lessons from our family and friends who are "More Than Survivors" of cancers because of the way they actively take on their disease as a challenge.
David "Duke" Dukich honored with a CC Challenge Cancer 5k 2006 "I'm More Than a Survivor" Certificate.
David was in his second year of cancer therapies for lung cancer. Duke passed away of that cancer on May 19, 2007.
For the first time at a CC Challenge 5k Event, we will be remembering a previously recognized "Challenged Honored Athlete" who has since passed away.
A collage of Duke's recent years’ racing photos will be on display. You can preview that inspiring collage of photos running through his cancer challenges, staying strong and living well beyond cancer. He survived strongly well beyond his doctors predicted time to survive.
We will also be welcoming to our 3rd Annual 2007 Challenge Cancer 5k a "Still Running with Duke" Team of longtime running friends and family coming to race.
Each of us who knew how Duke continued his RxExercise regimen, even through his challenging cancer therapies, to a better quality of life in last years will be remembering Duke's example of staying active and strong throughout life in order to better meet life's challenges.
