**2013 LEDERHOSNLAUF 5K NEWS:
This year for the first time there was a Shadow Lederhosenlauf 5k (SL5k) conducted at a US Base in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The majority of those running the SL5k in Kabul are US personnel stationed in Germany and currently serving in Kabul.
One of their commanding officers found our unique St Paul, MN L5k and informed us months ago that he wanted his people to enjoy a sense of their Germany life while still serving in Kabul, AF, by creating and running their Shadow Lederhosenlauf 5k.
A few weeks ago Charities Challenge donated and sent over $1000 of our unique 2013 Lederhosenlauf 5k shirts to those military personnel serving in Kabul.
On behalf of our American friends serving in Kabul, thanks to those who contributed to CC’s costs of our L5k race shirts now being worn in Kabul, AF, and which we hope to see worn when those troops return to their Germany bases and eventually right back here in the USA.
Find via our CC Facebook group page fun photos from the SL5k in Kabul. event as we receive them.
